For the finale of our last concert (to be streamed via YouTube on the evening of Sunday 13 June) we will have all our young professional musicians playing together; and for one or more pieces, we would like to enhance our group with a number of additional string players of school age.

The work or works to be performed is yet to be announced, but it will be approachable by players at Grade 5 and above with a mix of repertoire that will also suit more advanced players. Copies of the music to be played will be provided at least two weeks ahead of the first rehearsal.

The rehearsal and recording will take place on Monday 31st May 2021 in St Ann’s Church in central Manchester between 2-5pm. We aim to rehearse for the first couple of hours and give a little mini concert at the end which will be recorded for the festival (to be aired on Sunday 13th June 2021). The option to join in online may be possible depending on how many would be interested in this option.

We will also be holding some online sectional rehearsals on Sunday 17th May 2021 to help with learning parts before we meet in person. Please note that this is an optional rehearsal and doesn’t disqualify you from taking part on Monday 31st June 2021.
