The B Sharps

The B Sharps were formed a few years ago by saxophonist Jim Collins, a tutor at Stockport Music Service.  He invited excellent, young saxophone players associated with the music service to play together at a high level.  Now ranging in ages from 15 to 23, the players also perform with other groups (not necessarily on the saxophone) including Werneth Concert Band, Stockport Youth Orchestra and the Greater Manchester Youth Wind Orchestra.  Under the direction of Jim Collins, the B Sharps have played at many venues throughout Stockport, including Stockport Plaza and at several local festivals.  They are delighted to have been invited to play at Festival Fresco, their first concert outside Stockport borough.

 

Members include Soprano Sax – Robert, Alto – Leo and Lana, Tenor – Pip, Baritone – Lucas.
